The REAL People’s Court

The REAL People’s Court is part
of Benchmark’s Trial and Hearing Skills Training.
Every other year we offer this training
to develop the trial skills of lawyers who represent the poor, seniors,
people with disabilities and other very low-income people in civil
cases. This week long training which takes place at Presentation Center
in Los Gatos ends with a jury trial in the Superior Courthouse in San
Jose.
By participating as a juror in The
Real People’s Court, you will:
• Learn firsthand about how our court
system works
• Help lawyers improve their trial skills
• Support legal aid lawyers in their work for the poor
