Karyn Hernandez is a disability advocate
and activist living in Berkeley. Most recently, she ran a program for
people with developmental disabilities at the
Center for Independent
Living in
Berkeley. She is also a former board member of
Easy Does It Disability Assistance.
Karyn studied Sociology at UC Berkeley and is a wheelchair athlete. She
has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and came out as a lesbian woman in 1992.
