Public Benefits Handbook

Each participant receives Benchmark's Public Benefits Handbook, a major resource to use during the training and on the job after the training. 

The Handbook gives you an introduction to the major benefits programs: CalWORKs, CalFresh, General Assistance/Relief, Medi-Cal and Supplemental Security Income.  It also includes chapters on Immigration for public benefits advocates, Advocacy and cutting edge issues in a public benefits practice.

The Handbook guides you to governing laws and sources of more in-depth information.  It includes practical checklists and charts on public benefits law that organize information in a way that is easier to check quickly.

A major legal resource for public benefits practitioners, the Public Benefits Handbook alone is worth the cost of the training.
