CIWC was formed in 1996 to coordinate a statewide response to the welfare challenge facing immigrants in California. California Update updates on public benefits developments in California covering legislation, administrative policy, and litigation. It also contains announcements for trainings and other events of interest to advocates. $10 a year gets you the print newsletter plus policy papers, fact sheets, and samples of all community education materials.
